The first step in getting a ring is to know the right size.

When you get it, yes it looks like a zip tie, but don't worry it will not lock.
You want it just tight enough that it goes over your knuckle. So size it to your knuckle then slip it down to your finger. See how it feels. You want it to wiggle a little to get it off. - need to edit
